Excellent. Informative, inciteful, and riveting. The book was thoughful and contained information and facts that inspired me to visit my local museums to view the actual work. I also purchased individual books containing the works of those artists I felt more attached to. Each entry was meticulously filled with fascinating materials that clea…

6.)100 Details Kenneth Clark Harvard University Press; 1990 Paperback
Whatever catches your eye … The fearsomely learned art critic and former National Gallery curator Kenneth Clark juxtaposes details from paintings with one another, and compares and contrasts them. The original 1938 work was in black and white; this book is in color, and the paintings have been restored in the interim, too.…
Fantastic book In a landscape where the bravado and bluster of busty cartoon pin-ups was the norm, Jay Ryan's work seems downright radical in its understated, yet evocative approach. Jay's talents somehow make me want to see a concert and buy a Caldecott Medal winner in equal measure. A+
A successful Author Am sorry to put it this way that either the author is an alcohol abuser or he does not have a clue about Islam at all.
It is suggested that the author needs to go back to the basics of writing about history.

For some reason the multifaceted brilliant artist Bruce Conner is not very well known outside…

20.)368 Animal Illustrations Georges-Louis Leclerc comte de Buffon Dover Publications; 1993 Paperback
Remarkable illustrations, superbly rendered; slightly nasty. First, I don't recommend this for the average Joe. It is too free, too open, too nasty. What is the point in showing animals sphincters? The only thing more revealing would have been dissections, which by the way the author has graciously left out. Its good art work, don't get me wrong. There…
Back in the archives! Mahfood brings all sorts of fun with this collection of short strips and single-page treats. Highly recommended for both long-time fans and newcomers to his work.
Glue problem I've just received my copy of the book. As I opened it, the glue on the spine started to crack and now the cover is about to come off. Don't know if it's just my copy or if the whole batch is like that.
This is very unfortunate since I love Ash's art and published works. But the books are ex…
